[hr-wsis] Re: Tunisian human rights situation post-WSIS?
Tunisie : saisie du journal Al Mawquif
Le dernier numéro de l'hebdomadaire Al Mawquif qui devait paraître
aujourd'hui a été retiré des Kiosques par les autorités tunisiennes.
La cause de cette interdiction serait la publication d'une réponse à la
campagne médiatique injurieuse et calomnieuse menée par la presse aux ordres
contre le collectif 18 octobre pour les droits et les libertés et ses
membres.
Le directeur d'Al Mawquif n'est autre que Me Néjib Chebbi secrétaire général
du parti démocratique progressiste et membre du collectif 18 octobre pour
les droits et les libertés. Il avait observé une grève de la faim du
18/10/2005 au 18/11/2005 en compagnie de sept autres figures politiques et
associatives tunisiennes pour exiger les libertés d'_expression et
d'organisation et l'amnistie générale en Tunisie. Depuis, la presse aux
ordres s'est livrée à un acharnement en règle contre eux, allant jusqu'à les
traiter de "traîtres de la nation" et de "nostalgiques de l'ère coloniale"!!
L'hebdomadaire Akhbar Al Joumhouriya aurait subi le même sort que Al Mawquif
pour avoir évoqué une affaire de corruption relative à l'attribution des
concessions FORD et ISUZU en Tunisie et dans laquelle des personnes proches
du palais seraient impliquées.
